West Ham: Three youngsters who could wreck Arsenal’s FA Youth Cup dreams

West Ham face Arsenal in the FA Youth Cup final at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Hammers have already clinched the Under-18 Premier League South title in runaway fashion this season and there is real excitement around a crop of youngsters that sporting director and club legend Mark Noble has described as “special”.

Here, Standard Sport picks out three players who could make the step up for the first team in future.

Divin Mubama

Star striker who has been prolific at both U18 and U21 level this season. Has 17 goals in 23 League games, as well as eight in four in the FA Youth Cup.

Made his first-team debut in the Europa Conference League win over FCSB in November and added a first goal against AEK Larnaca last month.

Ollie Scarles

Versatile young full-back who only turned 17 in December is extremely highly-rated and, like Mubama, was handed a start in the Conference League dead-rubber away in Romania this season.

A doubt for Tuesday’s game, though, having been forced off with a head injury during the weekend’s Under-21 loss to Liverpool.

George Earthy

Lifelong West Ham fan is a technical midfield player who signed his first professional contract last summer having been an U18 regular since the age of 16.

Has four goals and nine assists from just 10 games at U18 level this term and has featured consistently for the U21 side throughout the campaign.
