West Ham player ratings vs Nottingham Forest: Danny Ings nets vital brace as Said Benrahma shines

West Ham scored four goals in a sensational 15-minute spell to beat Nottingham Forest 4-0 at the London Stadium.

The match was still right in the balance midway through the second-half, with the pressure building even further on David Moyes.

But Danny Ings scored a pivotal brace before Declan Rice and Michail Antonio made sure of the result, lifting the Hammers away from the bottom three.

Here’s how David Moyes’ side rated at the London Stadium...

Lukasz Fabianski 6

Had made only one routine save when caught late on the head by Felipe and forced off.

Vladimir Coufal 5

Cross made fine chance for Ings but guilty of losing possession cheaply on a couple of occasions. Subbed at half-time.

Angelo Ogbonna 6

One of the veteran’s more comfortable afternoons.

Nayef Aguerd 6

Made important clearance inside his own six-yard box early in second-half.

Ben Johnson 6

Afforded a rare start at left-back, then showed versatility by switching to the right at half-time. A little clumsy in clipping Brenna Johnson for Forest penalty shout.

Declan Rice 8

Played a disciplined defensive role to allow Soucek and Paqueta to push on. Screened and covered well, then scored a beauty to crown the afternoon.

Lucas Paqueta 6

Back from a should injury, saw shot deflect off the outside of the post, then lifted over when teed up by Bowen.

Tomas Soucek 7

Has looked so much better over the past month. Glanced header over from Cresswell corner.

Jarrod Bowen 8

Always lively and hit the post with low drive after half-time. Set up Ings’ crucial opener.

Said Benrahma 8

Some lovely interplay with Paqueta. Did brilliantly to make Ings’ second.

Danny Ings 9

Finally made his first Hammers start. Should have done better with header from Coufal cross but made amends with two vital goals.

Substitutes

Aaron Cresswell (Coufal 46’) 5

Corner immediately made chance for Soucek but suspect defensively.

Alphonse Areola (Fabianski 70’)

Manuel Lanzini (Paqueta 83’)

Pablo Fornals (Benrahma 83’) 7

Crossed for Antonio’s late header which put icing on the cake.

Michail Antonio (Ings 84’) 7

Header put the cap on what turned into a giddy afternoon.

Unused: Emerson, Kehrer, Downes, Scamacca,
