West Ham climbed above Manchester United into the top six as they returned from the international break with victory over Everton.
After a bright start the game fizzled out until Aaron Cresswell was able to spark it back into life with a stunning free-kick into the top right of Jordan Pickford’s goal.
Frank Lampard’s side pulled one back through Mason Holgate’s deflected shot but quickly shot themselves in the foot minutes later.
Alex Iwobi lost possession in midfield and West Ham broke quickly. Jarrod Bowen finished into an empty net after Pickford had saved Michail Antonio’s shot. Moments later it went from bad to worse, captain Michael Keane sent off for a second yellow.
Here is how Jack Rosser rated the Hammers…
Lukasz Fabianski 5
Poor punch from the corner ahead of the Everton goal. Largely untested aside from that moment.
Ryan Fredericks 7
Caught out by Richarlison a couple of times but crucially stopped the Everton winger from scoring a tap in after rounding Fabianski.
Craig Dawson 7
No nonsense at the back as always. Alive to danger and stopped Richarlison with some robust challenges.
Kurt Zouma 7
Calm on the ball when under pressure and hardly troubled at the back.
Aaron Cresswell 8
Wonderful free-kick to claim his first goal since the opening day of the season at Newcastle.
Declan Rice 7
Not his sharpest performance on the ball in the first half but robust in midfield and looked to drive West Ham forward.
Tomas Soucek 6
Plenty of energy and fight in midfield. Not quite the threat going forward he had been just before the break.
Jarrod Bowen 8
Superb return from injury. Took his goal superbly and was a livewire in the first half. A welcome return.
Said Benrahma 6
Wasteful on the ball far too often but caused problems for Everton at times and worked hard out of possession.
Pablo Fornals 7
Full of energy and showed great vision to set Antonio away on the counter in the build-up to Bowen’s winner.
Michail Antonio 7
A real nuisance for the Everton back line throughout, just needs to get back among the goals now.

Mark Noble 6
Played a very nice exchange with Rice on the break and ensured West Ham kept a tight grip on the game after going ahead.
