West Ham United moved three points clear of the relegation zone with their first away Premier League win since August against Fulham.
An own goal from Harrison Reed in the first half sealed victory for the Hammers, whose win saw them climb two places in the table up to 13th place.
Here is how football.london’s West Ham United writer Jonty Colman rated the Hammers’ players against Fulham.

Lukasz Fabianski
Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski was kept in place ahead of Alphonse Areola despite being at fault for arguably two of Newcastle United's goals during their 5-1 win over the Hammers on Wednesday night. Had little to do in the first half, barring reacting to crosses and a few very easy claims. Tested more after the break, although the closest he really got to being beaten were from Andreas Pereira long range chances that proved easy to hold on to. Faced a few teasing balls in but he met them well. Good redemption from midweek. Made two huge saves late on, one to tip away Pereira when going through on goal and another to deny Tosin Adarabioyo at a corner. Proved to be pivotal. 7
Vladimir Coufal
Having seen Thilo Kehrer preferred to him in both games since returning from a heel issue, Vladimir Coufal was back in the side and impressed at the back. Played a role in Reed's own goal, making the run and initial cross that started the move, although the ball seemed to hit his hand in the build-up. Made several good clearances and remained a good outlet to get things cleared for the Hammers. 7
Kurt Zouma
Frenchman Kurt Zouma was the only player in the back four that started against Newcastle. He and Angelo Ogbonna next to him were both outstanding, making a ridiculous amount of clearances and tackles to shackle of the domination Fulham showed with the ball, especially in the second half. Came close to a goal himself late on, but could only steer his header into the ground. 8
Angelo Ogbonna (Star man)
Following Nayef Aguerd's costly error in the midweek loss to Newcastle, Italian centre-back Angelo Ogbonna was recalled in his place, making his first league start since last month's 4-0 loss at Brighton and Hove Albion. Showed real leadership and like Zouma, was a force to be reckoned with. Excellent in the air and with his positioning, saving his best for the second half when sliding in to cut out Carlos Vinicius' cross. In a team that looked like it lacked leaders at Newcastle, Ogbonna took his chance well. 8
Aaron Cresswell
Aaron Cresswell started at left-back in what was his first full league outing since the January defeat away at relegation rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers, with Italian Emerson among five changes made by Moyes. Again, really good despite his lack of game time. Caused problems early on with crosses and like Coufal, found himself in the right positions to clear up the line and allow breathing space for West Ham, which they badly needed at times. 7
Jarrod Bowen
It will not count as an official assist due to it being an own goal, but Bowen's trademark of cutting to the byline and getting the ball back caused the problems for the all-important goal, with his cross steered in by Reed. Was a threat and showed his grafting, defensive side, proving to be a threat with pace and interceptions on the break. Had a chance to score late on, one which was saved by Bernd Leno. 7
Tomas Soucek
In a midfield two with Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek's physicality was good at times and needed as West Ham often went for a direct approach and one where they could get the best of their opponents physically. Not the best still at passing but kept the ball better than he has done in recent weeks. 6
Declan Rice
A very mixed game for captain Rice. Made a few good tackles and interventions and his long pass started the move which eventually led to the own goal. Lost the ball quite a few times to allow Fulham to break and get into transition, getting booked after substitute Tom Cairney got the better of him. 6
Pablo Fornals
Like Cresswell, there was a first league start in almost three months for Spaniard Pablo Fornals, getting a chance ahead of Said Benrahma on the left wing. Not a good game on the ball, but defensively chipped in. Technically, played a lot of stray passes and struggled to keep hold of the ball and it was not surprise to see him replaced after an hour. Similar to his last start at Wolves, which was also cut short. 6
Michail Antonio
Michail Antonio showed against Newcastle that his physical attributes can make him a threat alone and it showed, doing enough to keep his place for back-to-back starts. Antonio may never have looked like scoring, but was a good focal point for clearances and counters, drawing fouls out of Fulham's defence with his strength and turn of pace. Only forced a save out of Leno with an offside shot, but needed his graft in a game like this. 7
Danny Ings
After losing his place against Newcastle, Danny Ings was recalled to play alongside Antonio up front, rather than instead of him, the only one of West Ham's nine signings this season to feature from the off. Was hardly seen in the first half, with Antonio proving to be the better outlet. Put through on goal by Bowen in the second half and chipped straight at Leno, taken off shortly after. 6
Substitutes
Said Benrahma
As he often has been when starting on the bench, Algerian Benrahma was the first man on, in a double change shortly after the hour mark. Did not get the chance to express himself all that much, but did see an effort from range on the counter attack go wide. Did create one late chance on he counter, with Bowen firing straight at Leno. 6
Flynn Downes
The introduction of midfielder Flynn Downes led to chants of "you don't know what you're doing" from the away fans," with Ings going off in his place. Good energy, pressed well and a couple of big tackles. 6
Maxwel Cornet
Bought on with seconds of normal time remaining, although he will have hoped for a start after seeing Benrahma dropped. Should have scored in stoppage-time, when pouncing on a bad Tim Ream clearance, shooting straight at Leno, or squared it to Benrahma. N/A
