West Ham United have reportedly made an offer to sign Atalanta forward Ruslan Malinovskyi in the January transfer window.
Reports from Italian outlet Calciomercato have claimed that David Moyes’ men have submitted a bid to sign Ukrainian international playmaker Malinovskyi from the Serie A side. However, football.london understands that the report is not true.
The 29-year-old has scored 30 goals in 142 appearances for the Italian side since joining from Belgian side Gent in the summer of 2019.

Malinovskyi is primarily an attacking midfielder, but he can also play as both a second striker and as a central midfielder.
Firepower has been a major issue for West Ham this season, who scored just 13 goals in 17 league games so far this season. Only Nottingham Forest (12) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (10) have netted on fewer occasions.
West Ham did spend £30.5m on striker Gianluca Scamacca in the summer from Serie A side Sassuolo. While he is the club’s top scorer in all competitions this season with six goals, he has netted for his club since the win over Fulham on October 9. They also signed winger Maxwel Cornet from Burnley, who was the Clarets’ top scorer last season. However, he has not played since suffering a calf injury on October 1.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with January interest in Malinovskyi. However, the reports claim that Spurs would only be interested in a loan move, something which Atalanta are reportedly not open to.
