West Ham United are soliciting supporters’ opinions ahead of a redesign of the club’s crest, which is set to launch in the 2028-29 season.
Interim chief executive officer Karim Virani said: "With 2026 marking ten years since our current crest was launched, now is the right time for us to review its future."
He added: "The board and I want to ensure that the club’s history and heritage are appropriately reflected in everything we do, and that our loyal fans should play a leading role in determining how that is delivered."
Virani confirmed the process would be "supporter-led”, stating: "To that end, we will ensure any change is supporter-led and we will be working with the fan advisory board as an independent body every step of the way."
West Ham’s decision to redesign their badge comes a decade after the club left Upton Park to move to the London Stadium, a move that did not go down well with some fans.
The club is now preparing to return to the Championship following their relegation from the Premier League last season.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side took the relegation battle to the final day and won their last game against Leeds, but they ended up two points adrift of 17th-placed Tottenham.
The Hammers could now be set to lose some of their key players ahead of their bid to earn promotion back to the top flight.
Portuguese midfielder Mateus Fernandes has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham, while Manchester United have also shown interest in the £85 million-rated player.
United are also believed to be keen on winger Crysencio Summerville, who has been starring for the Netherlands at the World Cup.
The 24-year-old featured in all three of his team’s group games, registering two goals and an assist as the Netherlands finished top of their group. Ronald Koeman’s men are due to face Morocco in the round of 32 on Monday night for the right to play co-hosts Canada in the last-16.
Canada sealed their spot in the round of 16 by beating South Africa 1-0 on Sunday, with Stephen Eustaquio scoring the winner in the 92nd minute.
