West Ham United have launched a £12million bid to sign Aston Villa striker Danny Ings.
The Hammers, who earlier this week submitted a package worth up to £30million to sign Lorient striker Terem Moffi, have now placed a bid to sign experienced striker Ings, as football.london understands.
Ings has scored six goals in 18 league matches this season, but has only started eight of them, with his game time struggles continuing since Unai Emery replaced Steven Gerrard as Villa’s manager.

Under Emery, Ings has scored three times in six league appearances, but has only started two out of a possible six Premier League matches since the Spaniard’s arrival at the start of November.
Ings moved to Villa Park from Southampton in August 2021 for an undisclosed fee believed to be around £25million. Since then, Ings has scored 14 goals in 52 Villa appearances in all competitions, all but one of those have been in England’s top-flight.
Goals have been an issue for West Ham this season, having only netted 15 times from their 19 Premier League matches this season.
West Ham currently only have two senior strikers at the club, Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio, with the latter linked with transfer interest from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton.
Ings has played in the Premier League for four clubs, Burnley, Liverpool, Southampton and Aston Villa and has a career top-flight record of 68 goals in 188 games.
