West Ham United manager David Moyes has said that assessments will be made on defensive duo Kurt Zouma and Vladimir Coufal ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Brentford.
The Hammers head across London in the FA Cup third round to take on a Brentford side who beat them 2-0 in the Premier League a week ago.
For that game, Moyes could be without centre-back Zouma, who has missed the last three games following knee surgery at the end of November. Right-back Coufal was also forced off against Leeds United on Wednesday night following a challenge from Crysencio Summerville that led to a knee injury.

Moyes has not ruled either of them out, but has said late decisions will have to be made on both of them.
“Vladimir Coufal, we’re going to have to have a look at because he took a clattering the other night,” said Moyes. “Should’ve been a sending off. We’ll need to check Vladimir out.
“Kurt Zouma is getting closer, but maybe not yet, we just need to check. He’s only just going to start training.
“We’re probably much the same, we’re obviously trying to recover. We played late Wednesday night so we’re still trying to get the players back together and get them ready.”
Winger Maxwel Cornet will also miss the tie having been out of action for over three months with a long-term calf issue.
