West Ham fixture change in April following Hammers' Europa League victory over Sevilla

West Ham's success in the Europa League has seen a number of their Premier League matches rearranged, with more to follow should the Hammers' European dream continue. David Moyes' side progressed to the quarter-finals following a fine 2-1 win over two legs against Sevilla courtesy of Tomas Soucek and Andriy Yarmolenko's goals.

The win saw West Ham enter Friday's Europa League draw and the Hammers face Lyon in the quarter-final stage with the two legs set for April 7 and 14. The scheduling of the continental matches sees an impact on the Hammers' domestic campaign.

West Ham's first ever competitive visit to the Brentford Community Stadium has been moved from the original slot on Saturday, April 10 and will now be a 2pm kick-off on Sunday, April 10, just three days after the Hammers' home clash with Lyon on April 7.

It is a quick turnaround for Moyes' side with West Ham jetting off to France for the second leg on Thursday, April 14 before returning to take on Burnley on Sunday, April 17 at the London Stadium.

The Hammers' win over Aston Villa sandwiched between the two clashes with Sevilla showed the team can cope with the Europa League scheduling and with a number of players set for a break during the international window Moyes hopes his side will be fresh for the run-in.

The manager has no complaints with the hectic nature of his fixture list with Moyes delighted to still be in Europe and happy to face the challenges ahead.
