West Ham confirm Premier League squad list for 2022/23 season after January window shuts

West Ham United have published their amended Premier League squad list for the rest of the 2022/23 season.

Clubs in the Premier League are allowed to name a squad of 25 players, with a maximum of 17 that are not classed as homegrown players.

From the squad for the first half of the season, West Ham have made some changes. Striker Danny Ings has been added to the senior list following his £12million arrival from Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Darren Randolph and centre-back Craig Dawson have both been taken off the list following permanent exits to Bournemouth and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively. Midfielder Conor Coventry has also been removed, having joined Rotherham United on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

Following Randolph’s exit, goalkeeper Joseph Anang has returned to the London Stadium after spending the first half of the season on loan at Derby County.

Squads must have a minimum of eight homegrown players in their squad list, with West Ham naming eight. Anang, Michail Antonio, Jarrod Bowen, Aaron Cresswell, Flynn Downes, Danny Ings, Ben Johnson and Declan Rice are the players who qualify for the homegrown criteria.

While clubs must name a senior squad with a maximum of 25 players, an unlimited number of under-21s players can be placed on the under-21s list. Striker Divin Mubama, who played in the Premier League against Arsenal on Boxing Day, and new academy centre-back Luizao, signed from Sao Paulo last month, both make the under-21 list.
