Arsenal put on a masterclass first-half performance to put West Ham to the sword in their 5-2 win at the London Stadium – and you can watch the highlights below.
The Gunners burst out of the traps in an electric start at the London Stadium.
Gabriel broke the deadlock in trademark fashion. The Brazilian rose highest at a corner to head the ball past a helpless Lukasz Fabianski inside 10 minutes.
Bukayo Saka, who whipped in the corner for the first goal, turned provider once again for the second as Leandro Trossard netted just before the half-hour mark.
Martin Odegaard produced a defensive-splitting pass through to Saka who then had the easy task of squaring it to the Belgian to tap into an empty net.
It was Saka again at the heart of the third goal. The 23-year-old danced his way into the box before being tripped. Odegaard stepped up to successfully convert the spot-kick and put Arsenal into a commanding 3-0 lead after just 34 minutes.
Just 90 seconds later, Kai Havertz got his name on the scoresheet to leave the Hammers stunned.
However, the hosts pulled one back soon after. Aaron Wan-Bissaka scored the Hammers’ first of the game before Emerson struck a beautiful free-kick five minutes before the break.
The first-half action didn’t stop there. Arsenal were then awarded another penalty after Fabianski clumsily punched Gabriel when trying to clear a corner, leaving Anthony Taylor no option other than to point to the spot again.
It was star boy Saka who stepped up to make it 5-2 before the break in a stunning first-half of football.
Arsenal continued to frustrate the Hammers in the second half, keeping their London rivals at bay.
While Arsenal took their foot off the gas when it came to attacking, Mikel Arteta will be pleased with his side’s ability to control the game and see it out to claim all three points at the London Stadium.

Bukayo Saka Gets Arsenal Flying Again
It is a welcome sight for Martin Odegaard to return to the Arsenal ranks, given his influence in attack.
But when Bukayo Saka is in this vein of form, he’s nearly unstoppable.
His contributions saw the Gunners leapfrog Brighton and Manchester City into third.
His two assists saw him reach double digits for the season. It makes him the first player in Europe’s top five leagues to provide 10 assists this season.
All eyes will be on Sunday’s clash between Liverpool and Manchester City. The Reds still boast a six-point lead over second-place Arsenal at the top.
