A motocyclist has died following a tragic hit and run incident in West Drayton on Saturday morning.
The Met Police confitrmed the motocyclist collided with a car on Holloway Lane, West Drayton.
Police were called at 10.21am and despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the man who was aged in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Met Police confirmed to MyLondon that the car failed to stop at the scene and they are currently trying to locate the driver - no arrests have been made at this time.
A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “Police were called at 10.21am on Saturday, May 7 to reports of a collision involving a car and a motorcyclist in Holloway Lane, West Drayton.
“Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. The motorcyclist – a man aged in his 30s – was pronounced dead at the scene.
“His next of kin are yet to be informed. The car failed to stop at the scene and enquiries are ongoing to locate the driver.”
The A3044 Holloway Lane remains closed, nearly seven hours after the incident.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service told MyLondon: "We were called today (Saturday, May 7) at 10.22am to reports of a road traffic accident in Holloway Lane, Harmondsworth.
"We sent numerous resources including an ambulance, two response cars and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London's air ambulance.
"We treated a man at the scene but sadly, despite our efforts, he died."
