West Bengal: Minority colleges can opt out of centralised process

KOLKATA: Autonomous and private colleges, as well as minority institutions have been exempt from the centralised counselling to be introduced from this season, sources in the education department said.

Minority institutions, like Scottish Church College, St Paul’s College, St Xavier’s College, Christian Women’s College, Loreto College, and those under Ramakrishna Mission as well as linguistic minority colleges, like Shri Shikshayatan and Bhawanipur Education Society College, said they learnt they can have their own admission procedures.
