Wes Streeting has resigned as Health Secretary paving the way for him to launch a Labour leadership challenge.

In a letter to the Prime Minister, Mr Streeting said: “Having lost confidence in your leadership, I have concluded that it would be dishonourable and unprincipled” to carry on in the role.
