Streeting orders urgent review after banned doctors found working for NHS

The health secretary has ordered an urgent review of vetting procedures for doctors who qualified overseas after 22 medics banned abroad were cleared to treat NHS patients.

The findings of an investigation by The Times were “horrific” and “a serious failure in our medical regulatory systems that I will not tolerate”, Wes Streeting said.
