Wendy Williams: Timeline of guardianship as TV star deemed 'permanently disabled' after dementia diagnosis

The Wendy Williams Show aired on Channel 5 in the UK - (Evan Agostini/Invision/AP)

US chat show host Wendy Williams has become “cognitively impaired, permanently disabled and legally incapacitated” because of early-onset dementia, her court-appointed guardian has said in legal documents obtained by People Magazine.

Known for her scathing remarks about A-listers and meme-able moments from her Fox talk show The Wendy Williams Show, which aired on Channel 5 in the UK, the often controversial media personality was placed under a court-appointed financial guardianship in May 2022 and is represented by a temporary guardian, Sabrina Morrissey.
