Wendy Williams is "pushing through fog" as her brother shared a rare photo of the TV host, who recently had her show cancelled on US television.
The 57-year-old TV personality has not been seen on the box since July 2021 and it her place in the schedules could be permanently removed as Sherri Shepherd looks set to be given her TV slot.
Wendy's younger brother Tommy, 54, shared the family snap on Instagram along with a long caption in which he updated fans as to how Wendy is managing her condition.
In the pic, Wendy is seen with her dad, her niece, sister Wanda, son Kevin Jr, brother Tommy, and her nephew along the TV host sat in the middle, smiling broadly.
Tommy had shared the photo to a private Wendy Williams Facebook fan group, in which he wrote about his sister: “I’m encouraging everyone to remain faithful that our girl Wendy will pull through this fog, push through the clouds into the light!"
He added: "I’ve been away from my platform for a while as we circle the wagons and deal with the reality that family needs me. There is no script, views or ratings attached to genuine support.
"You all have exemplified support for my family and we are truly grateful.”
Tommy also urged fans to subscribe to his YouTube channel, where he promised there would be more updates on Wendy's progress.
Wendy has faced a number of medical issues in the past 12 months including addiction, Graves' disease, and Covid and a source close to the family has told The Sun that Wendy has struggled to recognise her nearest and dearest
They said: “There are people who Wendy knows, who have worked closely with her, and there are days that she has no idea who they are."
Wendy is also reportedly not happy about Sherri taking over her show slot and feels "disrespected" about it and how it was announced.
An insider told The Sun: "Sherri’s show was announced on The Wendy Williams Show, with Wendy's audience and with all of her followers.
"Wendy has 2.6million subscribers on her YouTube alone. That’s Wendy’s YouTube! She built that following, not Sherri, not the production company."
