Wembley stabbing: woman in her 20s in hospital after ‘knife attack’

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a young woman was stabbed in north-west London.

Police and London Ambulance Service were scrambled to Mount Pleasant, Wembley, at 1.35am on Friday.

A woman, aged in her 20s, was found with a stab wound and taken to hospital where her condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

A 34-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of attempted murder.

He remains in custody at a north London police station. Police cordons were put in place around the crime scene as detectives recover CCTV footage and forensic officers scour for evidence.
