Welsh rugby cult figure Nick Williams has issued a statement of thanks after suffering a cardiac arrest.

The much-loved former Cardiff Blues player took to social media on Thursday following a stay in hospital to thank those who treated him and family and friends after suffering what is understood to have been a cardiac arrest.

The former Welsh regional rugby player, 38, retired in 2020 and lives in Barry with his family.
