Welsh police force looking into allegations linked to BBC presenter now named as Huw Edwards says there's no evidence of criminal offences

South Wales Police has said it has found that no criminal offence has been committed following enquiries into allegations linked to a BBC presenter. It comes after Mr Edwards was named as the BBC presenter at the centre of the allegations relating to sexually explicit images of a young person.

Vicky Flind, the wife of newsreader Huw Edwards, named him in a statement issued on his behalf on Wednesday evening (July 12), as reported by the Press Association

In her statement, Vicky Flind said her husband was "suffering from serious mental health issues" and was now "receiving in-patient hospital care where he will stay for the foreseeable future” as she asked for privacy for her family. You can read the full statement here.
