Rory McIlroy admitted he feels the "stars are aligning" with his game after a stunning final day charge to win the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow by five shots.

McIlroy's final round ensured he overhauled an unconvincing Xander Schauffele, who could only shoot level par as he continues to search for his first win since 2022.
