A popular Manchester Brewery on the outskirts of the city centre, has confirmed that it will be selling up. Beer Nouveau in Ardwick will be "winding up for the time being" and its Temperance Street Brewery - a community brew space - put up for sale.
The brewery, located in the arches beneath the railway lines on North Western Street, just outside the city centre, is regarded as a haven for the city's craft beer scene. Beer Nouveau, which was founded by Steve Dunkley, also operates a taproom from their arches.
Fitted out with plush retro arm chairs, tables made from empty barrels and wooden pallets, plus a fireplace and bookshelf, the space had become a firm favourite for Manchester beer lovers. Open on Fridays and Saturdays, its bar served a range of Beer Nouveau's own brews as well as rotating guest ales including Bristol's Lost and Grounded.
