Weird and wonderful merch on sale to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee

The Queen is set to celebrate 70 years of dedicated service with a bumper four-day weekend for her Platinum Jubilee.

And of course a royal occasion wouldn't be a royal occasion without an impressive of royal memorabilia to remember the special day.

But if you're looking for something a bit more exciting than a mug or a tea towel, don't worry because businesses up and down the land have come up with all sorts of collectables.

From a fridge to a pair of Queen Elizabeth leggings, there's certainly something for everyone.

We've taken a look through some of the weird and wonderful collectors items on offer and rounded up some of our favourites - but we're not sure they would all get the royal seal of approval...

Limited Edition Barbie

The royal Barbie, nice - but it'll set you back (eBay)

What do you think of the merch? Let us know in the comments...

The Queen has been immortalised by the people at Barbie with a doll created in her image.

Inspired by one of her most iconic looks, the special edition Barbie wears an elegant ivory gown and blue ribbon adorned with decorations of order.

Her regal ensemble is completed with a stunning tiara - based on Queen Mary’s Fringe Tiara, which Queen Elizabeth wore for her wedding to Prince Philip - and matching miniature medallions on ribbons are inspired by the Royal Family Orders.

But you'll be lucky to get your hands on one, as they originally sold for £75 but now they're going for £800 on eBay.

Queen Elizabeth II leggings

(Printful)

Now I know what you're thinking, but no - these aren't the Queen's leggings - they're the next best thing, leggings with the Queen's face on them.

What better outfit to wear while you're jogging to your nearest street party, or burning off the excess consumed while eating celebratory cream teas?

The lovely people are Printful will print any of your pictures on items of clothing, and have used this change to make the perfect outfit for royal lovers.

They will set you back £23.

Solar-powered Queen Elizabeth II bobblehead

A very classy decoration (etsy.com)

The solar-powered Queen Elizabeth II bobblehead is an environmentally friendly way to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee, and best of all - it waves.

You could put this on your window sill, or maybe you car dashboard, and have a miniature version of The Queen with you at all times, waving at everyone you pass.

Best of all, it's just £24.99 and available from Etsy, go go go!

Platinum 'jubbly' crockery

Could this become a collector's item? (BBC.com)

How this spelling mistake managed to get past the design teams and the quality control department of the company who made them is beyond me.

A series of souvenir plates and cups were released but something went wrong in the design process and instead of saying 'Platinum Jubilee', they say 'Platinum Jubbly'.

It reads like something straight out of an Only Fools and Horses sketch, and in a stranger than fiction twist, clearance website boss Karl Baxter is selling them as collectors' items as "what could be more unique than our limited-edition misprinted crockery?"

Jubilee picnic blanket

If you're planning a Jubilee picnic, this is an essential if you want to look the part.

Knitwear specialists Not Just Clothing 's statement blanket will make you the envy of everyone at your local street party, and they also point out that it can double up as a wall hanging if the weather misbehaves and the celebrations are forced inside.

The design features British classics including her beloved corgis, The Queen's Guard, cups of tea, black cabs, phone boxes and of course a slice of cake.

Produced in Manchester, it's zero-waste and low carbon emission and costs £34.99.

Samsung's Union Jack fridge

What better way to mark The Queens' 70th year on the throne then buying a brand new, limited edition, £999 fridge - complete with Union Jack on the door.

Can't think of a better way? Me neither. Nor could Samsung, seemingly, as they built the fridge and are selling it now.

Unfortunately, it doesn't have any other livery on it, or any words like 'jubilee' or 'Queen', but hopefully the Union Jack will remind you of why you bought it.
