We’ve arrived to Week 8 of the New Orleans Saints’ 2023 season, heading back on the road to take on their third straight AFC South opponent, the Indianapolis Colts. The Saints are 1-2 against the the AFC South so far this season with the only win coming against the Tennessee Titans in Week 1.
The Saints and Colts are both coming off back-to-back losses and trying to set the sails straight. The Saints offense looks lost while the Colts are coming off of a game where they scored at will and lost 39-38. Both teams are 3-4 and desperately need to come away with a victory.
So who do those in the know like in this game? Let’s review the Week 8 NFL expert picks for Sunday’s Saints-Colts matchup:

Bill Bender – Colts 30, Saints 27
Two struggling teams meet. The Colts have committed four turnovers in back-to-back weeks against the Jaguars and Browns. The Saints have lost by a TD each of the last two weeks, but they are 2-2 S/U on the road. Indianapolis is a first-time favorite, and the Saints are 1-0 ATS as an underdog. Jonathan Taylor scores the game-winner late in a game that morphs into a little bit of a shootout.

Bottom Line
It seems to be pretty split on the outcome on the game (outside of MMQB), which makes sense for two teams in similar positions. The Colts have the edge on predictions as the home team. Can the Saints pull off making the talking heads wrong? We’ll find out Sunday afternoon.
