Despite a chilly start, Greater Manchester will be able to bask in the sunshine today with temperatures reaching 17C this afternoon.

Although conditions will turn cloudy come lunch time, it's set to remain warm and dry throughout the day. And the sunny weather will continue into tomorrow (Thursday April 21), which will see the clouds ease up, reaching 17C again.

According to the Met Office, elsewhere in the north west there could be the odd shower, most likely over the Lake District this afternoon. But otherwise it will stay dry with hazy sunshine through the day.
