Liverpool weather: Met Office issues 'danger to life' thunderstorm warning
The Met Office has issued a "danger to life" weather warning for Liverpool.
The region has had temperatures of 26C and sunny spells over this past week. However, experts have predicted that this will not last for much longer.
A weather warning had been issued yesterday (June 23) across the North West of England. However, the Met Office have now extended the alert to include Merseyside.

The warning is in place until 23.59pm with forecasters predicted heavy rainfall and potential flooding. There is also a small chance fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life.

Mum in disbelief as son's thirstiness led to 'nightmare' diagnosis
A mum was 'shocked' when her son received a 'nightmare' diagnosis.
Rachel Daley, 38, from Wallasey, was concerned when Jack, then aged three, started losing weight, losing his appetite and frequently drinking and urinating. The symptoms were dismissed by doctors as habitual but Rachel took Jack to hospital, where he was diagnosed with a condition called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis.
Rachel told the ECHO: "When we first went to the doctors, they told us to come back in two weeks. But within 10 days, he had a really bad turn in nursery so I just threw him in the car and took him to A and E which is where the diagnosis process started."

Police issue update after teen, 16, dropped off at hospital on electric bike following shooting
Police have issued an update after a teenager arrived at hospital with gunshot wounds.
Detective Chief Inspector Rachel Wilson said: “The investigation is in its early stages and we are working tirelessly to establish the full circumstances of a shooting last night which left a male injured.
“Fortunately the man has not suffered life-threatening injuries and at this stage we believe that this was a targeted attack with no wider threat to the local community. Nonetheless, this would have been an extremely shocking incident for anyone to witness."
