Weather Tomorrow June 27: India's weather is expected to remain sharply divided on June 27, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall across several states while parts of Uttar Pradesh continue to battle severe heatwave conditions.
The southwest monsoon remains active over large parts of the country, bringing widespread rain to the western coast, southern states, eastern India and the Northeast. At the same time, pockets of north India are likely to witness thunderstorms, gusty winds and lightning, while temperatures remain dangerously high in parts of Uttar Pradesh.

Here's a state-wise breakdown of today's weather forecast.
Uttar Pradesh Faces Severe Heatwave Even as Rain Chances Increase
While monsoon activity is gradually expanding, Uttar Pradesh is expected to experience some of the country's hottest conditions.
According to IMD, heatwave conditions are likely across isolated pockets of Uttar Pradesh from June 26 to June 28, with severe heatwave conditions expected on June 26 and June 27.

Rainfall activity is forecast to increase in eastern parts of the state, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. However, the relief may remain limited in areas still under the grip of intense heat.
Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan May See Thunderstorms
Residents of Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, East Rajasthan and West Rajasthan should prepare for changing weather conditions. The IMD has forecast isolated rainfall along with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds reaching 40-60 kmph in several areas.
Rain activity is expected to continue over the region through the coming week, helping bring down temperatures after prolonged hot conditions.
Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand Under Rain Watch
The hill states are likely to receive intermittent rainfall over the next few days. Himachal Pradesh and Jammu-Kashmir are expected to witness scattered rainfall through June 30, with rainfall intensity increasing further from July 1.
Uttarakhand is also likely to receive rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds. IMD has warned of isolated heavy rainfall from June 30 to July 2, raising the risk of localized disruptions in hilly areas.
Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha to Receive Monsoon Showers
With monsoon conditions becoming stronger across central India, East and West Madhya Pradesh are likely to witness scattered rainfall along with thunderstorms and lightning over the next few days.
In Chhattisgarh, rainfall activity is expected to become widespread from June 27 onward, with isolated heavy rainfall likely through June 29. Vidarbha may also receive heavy rain during June 28 and 29, accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds.
Odisha, Bihar and West Bengal Brace for Heavy Rain
Eastern India is likely to witness some of the most active monsoon conditions.
Odisha
The IMD has issued a heavy rainfall warning for Odisha from June 26 to June 30. Thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are also expected in several districts.
Residents have been advised to remain alert, especially in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
Bihar
Rainfall activity is forecast to intensify across Bihar over the weekend. The state could witness heavy rain on multiple days, while thunderstorms and lightning remain likely.
Some areas may also experience strong winds and thundersquall conditions.
West Bengal and Sikkim
Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim are expected to receive very heavy rainfall, with some locations likely to experience extremely heavy rain between June 27 and June 29.
Heavy rainfall could affect transportation and increase the risk of waterlogging and landslides in vulnerable areas.
Northeast India Set for Widespread Rain
The monsoon is expected to remain highly active across the Northeast.
States including Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are forecast to receive widespread rainfall over the coming days.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in several districts, particularly in Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. Thunderstorms and lightning are also expected across the region.
Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat to Witness Active Monsoon
Konkan and GoaThe IMD has forecast widespread rainfall across Konkan and Goa, with heavy rain likely on multiple days.
Popular coastal areas may experience periods of intense showers as monsoon conditions strengthen.

Parts of Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada are expected to receive rain accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds.
Heavy rainfall is likely in isolated areas, especially towards the end of June.
Gujarat
Scattered rainfall is expected across Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch, bringing relief from hot weather conditions.
Kerala, Karnataka and Telangana Face Heavy Rain Alert
KeralaKerala remains one of the wettest regions in the country.
The IMD has forecast heavy rainfall over Kerala and Mahe, with very heavy rainfall possible on June 29 and June 30. Residents in landslide-prone districts have been advised to stay updated on local alerts.
Karnataka
Rainfall activity is expected across Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.
Several districts may witness heavy rainfall, while strong surface winds are also expected.
Telangana
Rain and thunderstorms are likely across Telangana, with isolated heavy rainfall forecast through early July.
Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh Likely to See Rain and Thunderstorms
Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal are expected to receive scattered rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.
Meanwhile, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema could see periods of heavy rainfall over the next few days as monsoon activity strengthens.
Hot and Humid Conditions to Continue in Odisha
Even with rainfall activity increasing, IMD has warned that hot and humid weather conditions may continue in Odisha through June 27.
The combination of high moisture levels and rising temperatures could make outdoor conditions uncomfortable, particularly during daytime hours.
