Several parts of India are likely to witness rainfall, thunderstorms and lightning through September 22, with different regions expected to see varying intensity of showers. The forecast covers parts of northwest, central, east, northeast, west and south peninsular India. Heavy and very heavy rainfall is also likely at isolated places in several states and Union Territories during the period.
