A charming Fife pub will be representing Scotland and Northern Ireland in the CAMRA's Pub of the Year competition this year after being shortlisted for the award.
Located just 40 minutes away from the capital - by car or train - the pub resides in the historic town of Dunfermline, which has plenty to keep you entertained if you decide to check out the acclaimed pub.
Excited to have a pub worthy of representing the region in the annual competition by the Campaign for Real Ale right on the capital's doorsteps, our reporter Iuliia Vlasova went to check out the venue - and here's what she thought.

Tucked away just off the town's busy High Street with local businesses and shops, the Commercial Inn can be easily overlooked and considered a hidden gem of the area.
When walking in, you would instantly notice that the corner pub is rather small but is full of charm and little features that add character to it. There are wood-panelled walls, carved ceiling beams and a spiral staircase - all making the place uniquely charismatic.
On an early evening of a Thursday, the place was almost full and buzzing with cheerful conversations. Creating a delightful and uplifting atmosphere, the pub-goers were clearly enjoying themselves after a busy day at work - with some popping in for a refreshing pint in their full business attire.
The number of drinks on offer is impressive - with some uniquely local options and cask ales included - and can be ideally paired with the venue's traditional pub dishes, like breaded haddock and a variety of steaks.
In accordance with the true local pub vibe the place maintains, there are Sunday quiz nights for the more adventurous drinkers along with some tempting Sunday to Wednesday dining offers - with two meals and a fine bottle of house wine for £28.99.
Along with some other fascinating places Dunfermline offers to its visitors - like the Tomb of King Robert the Bruce at the Dunfermline Abbey and the ruins of the local palace that once stood proud and tall - the Commercial Inn would make a perfect final stop for one's day trip to the town.
