"We've completed the roll back and are monitoring service health while": Microsoft 365 and Outlook are still having issues, but things are improving

Microsoft Teams app seen displayed on a smartphone screen and a Microsoft Teams logo on a laptop in the background.

Microsoft 365 and Outlook are down. Microsoft confirmed the outage today and has shared a couple of updates on the official Microsoft 365 Status account on X.

Downdetector also shows a spike in outages and issues that began around 4:50 AM ET. Outlook, Microsoft 365, and other Microsoft web experiences all seem to be affected.

It's not clear at this time how widespread the outages are or how many people are experiencing issues.

The timing of the issues is poor, since many are starting their work at the moment and are unable to use essential services such as Teams or Outlook.

Below are the most recent X posts about the outage, including an update clarify that things are improving and that Microsoft is monitoring the situation to "ensure the service fully recovers."

This is an ongoing news story and we will update this piece as more information becomes available. Microsoft also has a status page that is updated regularly.
