We tried value cheese from Tesco, Aldi, Lidl and one 'rivalled Cathedral City'

We put 'value' cheese from a range of different supermarkets this week as the cost of living crisis continues to see prices rise.

It's safe to say that there are plenty of different options to choose from, all varying in price. A 550g block of Cathedral City Mature Lighter is currently priced at £4.50 at Tesco, while a 550g block of Pilgrims Choice Mature Cheddar costs £4.

There are plenty of affordable alternatives for those on a budget, and with the cost of living crisis in full swing, many shoppers are looking for useful hacks to save money.
