Many people rave about a supermarket cafe stop. Whether it's a bite to eat after doing your shopping or somewhere you can pop in on passing, there's always plenty of options.
However Manchester Evening News reporter Bethan Shufflebotham has not been one of those people, having only once had a hot chocolate while waiting for her mum. But, having recently sampled the delights of Marks and Spencer, she hit the big-brand supermarkets to test out the fry ups.
Bethan says she had heard mixed reviews on the food served up at supermarket cafes, with some saying it’s cheap and cheerful, others claiming it’s cheap and nasty. So, to settle the debate once and for all, she decided to go and see what they were like - in her own words, this is what happened.
