If you've taken a stroll through Fountainbridge recently, it's not hard to notice that the landscape is looking very different to how it did a few years ago.
Once derelict sites left empty after the brewery was demolished, in the last little while a huge range of brand new buildings have been popping up, from student accommodation to swish new hotels.
However, the latest addition was one we were quick to notice, with Moda Living starting construction on three brand new blocks of flats.

With two already complete and the third soon to be erected, we were keen to get a look inside what they call "the new way to rent."
What makes the new blocks unique to your usual flats is the way the site operates, with all of the apartments only available to rent out.
However, all of your bills come included in the price, and in return you get access to some incredible luxury features that make you feel as if you have everything on your literal doorstep.
In order to see how it works, and if it's worth the price (which can be upwards of £1500 a month), we headed along to spend the night in the brand new McEwan building.
Instantly, when we walked in we could see what attracts people to Moda Living, with a stunning reception and lounge space to the side of it.
Equipped with its own kitchen and meeting area, it seemed like a perfect space for some home working or socialising, with the ground floor area leading out onto a communal garden.
Making our way around the building, we were dying to see all of the luxury features included in the site, and to say we were impressed would be an understatement.

As well as a fully equipped gym on the lower ground floor (which is blessed with amazing air conditioning), the building has a beautiful rooftop lounge, with unobstructed views all the way over to Edinburgh Castle.
Just next door is an outdoor terrace for everyone to use, a cinema room, and even a games room complete with its own pool table and fully stocked fridge.
As if that wasn't enough, the upper floor also features a private dining room that you can book out to entertain, with the view beating out a lot of top city restaurants.
Taken aback by the features, we headed to our studio apartment for the night, which for a new build studio was a very impressive size.
Coming with the basic furniture of a bed, TV, sofa and the fully equipped kitchen, the apartment also had a very plush looking bathroom with a huge walk-in shower.
In addition, the views from the window faced west, offering vistas of a stunning sunset over the city, which we were able to watch as we relaxed on the sofa.
The only downside to our stay was just how quickly it flew by, and we quickly found ourselves waking the next morning after a sound sleep.
The building also offers underground parking and a huge section of bike storage, which is ideal for such a central location.
Heading out following the stay, it was clear that although on the expensive side, you are definitely getting your money's worth at the McEwan.
With all of its facilities, the 24 hour reception, and the fact that the site is dog friendly, you really could live here and never have to leave, and to be honest, we wish we could.
