Escape Dublin on Aungier Street has a number of different challenges that are sure to engross any group which visits.
If you have experienced an escape room before, then you will be familiar with the concept; a game that is designed to baffle and delight you, while instigating giddy panic amongst you and your friends. That is exactly what to expect at Escape Dublin, where a team has used their creative talents to think up of games, clues and puzzles for you to figure out.
We tried two of the escape room experiences at Escape Dublin and it's safe to say we had a blast. The first one we visited was Contagion, a challenge that, if you're not triggered by memories of the initial Covid-19 global outbreak, is a challenge that will have you scratching your head and exclaiming "Ah, that makes sense" once the answers are revealed.

There are two of these rooms, so if you have a large group, you can split into teams and compete against each other. The story you get immersed into is that of a global virus outbreak, and your mission is to retrieve a vaccine from an old medical facility.
Once you enter the room, you will find yourself surrounded by a series of clues such as maps, charts and numbers. It's your group's job to figure out what it all means, open locks and connect all of the dots before your 60 minutes is up.
We found the Contagion room rather difficult and were stumped on multiple occasions. You'll definitely want your wits about you and a group that means business when you're trying to beat the other team at this one.
What we experienced next truly left us in awe of the Escape Dublin team's creativity and clever ideas. Witchcraft and Wizardry is simply great craic, with clues leading you on a journey to enrol in an academy of pure magic.
What to expect here is the unexpected, with hidden rooms, mystical tricks, poetic puzzles and clever clues that you will kick yourself for missing. Dublin Live spoke to Escape Dublin's manager Sean Delaney who revealed that the rooms are changed around every two years or so to ensure people can come back to experience something new.
He and his team will enjoy a beer while brainstorming ideas and if what's currently there is anything to go by, the games they come up with next are sure to be a thrilling afternoon or evening out for any team, group of friends, family or even couple. The more people you book for your experience at Escape Dublin, the cheaper it gets per person.
For two people, it's €29 per person but fir three people, it's €25 per person. It's then €22 per person for four people €20 per person for five or six people. You can book your experience at Escape Dublin here.
