Former Everton defender Yerry Mina has been discussing his potential next club and opened up on the options available to him.
Mina confirmed ahead of Everton’s 1-0 win over Bournemouth on the final day of the season that he was leaving when his contract expired at the end of last month. The victory over the Cherries secured the Blues’ place in this season’s Premier League.
The Colombia international arrived at Goodison Park back in 2018, joining from Barcelona in a deal worth €30.25m. He confirmed his departure in an emotional video message on the eve of the showdown against Bournemouth.
The centre-back struggled for playing time for the majority of the 2022/23 season with injuries - just like they often were during his time on Merseyside - being a reason behind his lack of match action. However, he did play a key role in helping Everton avoid relegation to the Sky Bet Championship at the end of last season.

And now, in an interview with Spanish publication AS, Mina has revealed that, despite being the subject of interest from teams in France, he is in no hurry to make a decision on his future but is keen to remain in Europe.
He said: "I am waiting for God's direction. Let it be a place where his presence is with me. I just want to be prepared for the moment that touches me, wherever I go with everything.
"We are in talks… In France, there are also options, but the transfer window is just beginning, and I am calm."
Asked about a return to South America, Mina replied: "I am young, but Santa Fe was one of the teams that opened the doors for me, one of the few teams because I went to many.
"I went to del Valle, Cali, América and nothing. Pasto and Santa Fe do, and I am very grateful to them for what they did for me and for the love they have for me.
"My thinking is to continue in Europe, but at some point, if it happens, I would return with great joy for that love they gave me."
