BENGALURU: Assistant coach Mahesh Gawli said India's semifinal win against Lebanon was for head coach Igor Stimac and all the fans as his team advanced to the final of the SAFF Championship where they will take on Kuwait here on Tuesday.

"We played for him and we will do the same again in the final. I still believe it was injustice done to Stimac, banning him for two matches. I still don't understand why the two-match suspension. He didn't hit anyone," Gawli said, adding that the team didn't affect the absence of the coach on the touchline.
