Stirling Albion boss Darren Young believes this month could be season-defining in the club’s bid to secure a play-off berth.
The Forthbank outfit host bottom club Cowdenbeath on Saturday in the first of five league fixtures in February.
With a maximum 15 points up for grabs over the next four weeks, Young accepts his players must start to put wins on the board if they are to be in with a shot of promotion to League One come May.
Albion are currently seventh, four points adrift of fourth-placed Edinburgh City, who they visit on Friday, February 11.
Stirling then host second-placed Forfar Athletic in a rearranged fixture on Tuesday, February 15 before Albion Rovers visit Forthbank four days later.
The Binos end the month with a trip to Borough Briggs to play Elgin City, who have revived their own play-off ambitions following a poor start to the season.
Albion turned in an excellent performance away to third-placed Annan Athletic last weekend and deserved more than a point for their endeavours.
However, Young says nothing less than three points will do this weekend.
He said: “It’s important we try and put together a run of results. I thought the guys were great against Annan – we created a lot of chances and their keeper was man of the match.
“We also defended very well and it was real team effort. I think we are improving as a team each week after some difficult times with Covid and injuries and the squad is looking strong.”

Albion beat Cowdenbeath 4-0 at Forthbank in September but haven’t won at home in the league since then.
However, they lost the reverse fixture 1-0 at Central Park in December in what turned out to be Kevin Rutkiewicz’s last game in charge.
Maurice Ross’ men might be bottom of the table but have improved of late and beat Albion Rovers 1-0 at Cliftonhill last weekend.
There was no late business ahead of the transfer window closing at midnight on Monday but League Two clubs have until the end of February to make domestic loan signings.
