It's a Monday morning and one room of the Liverpool Carer's Centre is brimming with people chatting over a hot drink.
There are roughly 30 people sat around four large tables, all conversing and catching up. There is a convivial buzz around the room. At first glance, you may be surprised to know the desperation many here are feeling right now.
The room and surrounding facilities have recently been launched as a warm bank, one of a growing number that have been set up around the city as the brutal cost of living crisis moves further into an unforgiving winter.
