The recent flareup between Israel and Palestine has spawned multiple think-pieces trying to figure out whether there can ever be a solution to the decades-old violence.
Thankfully for us, Kangana Ranaut has set her mind to the task.
The actor and Mad Queen of Bollywood met with Noar Gilon, Israel’s ambassador to India, for what she called a “soulful meeting”.
Even by her own standards, Ranaut was in top form as both foreign delegate and history expert. She posted videos of their interaction so it’s almost as if we were there.

Kangana explained to Gilon just why India stands with Israel:
“...Because we as a Hindu nation, what has been happening to Hindus and even the Hindu genocide for centuries that continued, we identify a lot with Jews. And I strongly believe that as we deserve a Bharat dedicated to Hindus, Jews also deserve one nation.”
We missed that chapter on “Hindu genocide for centuries” in our history books. But it’s apparently “imprinted in our genetic code”, said Kangana, so it must be true!
Advocating for Israel – which Ranaut called an “underdog” and “a tiny drop in an ocean of Islamic nations” – the actor only broke her monologue to chuckle at her own remark about the “Islamic world” being “very stingy”.
On behalf of the citizens of India, she said: “They can’t give us that one land is rather inhuman and very stingy of the Islamic world, where they have the second largest amount of countries on the whole globe which is primarily dominated by the Christian countries.”
The Israeli ambassador expressed his appreciation for Ranaut’s support. When he said Israel was a “very tiny country”, Kangana without irony quipped that Israel is “not even the size of Manipur”. Don’t forget, battalions of Indian news anchors swooped into Israel a day after this month’s violence began, while Manipur hasn’t seen them yet.
What seemed like a sympathy meet abruptly turned into a promotion for Kangana’s upcoming movie.
“We ourselves have been suffering from radical Islamic terrorism, whether it is Hamas or ISIS, they even reached our Parliament...There were serial blasts which our film movie Tejas...is about India’s Air Force mission and what we have suffered in 26/11 and the brutality of Islamic terrorism.”
“So, I have to go and see the film,” Gilot replied.
All in a day’s work for Kangana Ranaut.
