Everybody loves a bargain. And with the cost of living going up, people are looking outside the high street for fashion on a budget.
All of the 'big four' supermarkets have had their own clothing ranges since at least the early 2000s, meaning everyone can pick up a cute top for the weekend or an emergency pair of pants whilst doing their weekly shop.

George at Asda
George at Asda launched in 1989, making it the oldest supermarket brand out there. In recent years, George has collaborated with online brands Missguided, G21 and Intestine, meaning all of its clothes are bang on trend.
George's summer collection features a range of dresses, skirts, pants, jumpsuits and tops. It also has a maternity section, and a large swimwear collection, something which some brands don't have. George also has some of the most expensive pieces, but this is due to it stocking outside brands. The highest priced item on the website is a PIECES coat at £65. Adsa has one of the bigger ranges, and George often has a large section in each supermarket.
It is really easy to put together an outfit in George, and for me, everything is on trend and relatively inexpensive. The quality is worth the price,
Asda also has the widest size range of the supermarkets, ranging from a size 4 to a size 30, although this may vary from store to store. You can also shop online at George.com. F&F at Tesco
Next up is Tesco's F&F. Launching in 2001, as Florence and Fred, the supermarket brand has produced season after season of popular fashion items.
F&F has a nice selection of dresses, skirts, pants, jumpsuits and tops as well as a selection of activewear and underwear. As well as the usual sale section, F&F offers special deals for Clubcard holders, one of the most recent deals were £15 jeans.
There are a wide range of colours and prints, as well as a different fabrics, including the popular towel style fabric, in which they make dresses, t-shirts and shorts. Out of all the supermarkets, F&F has the best range of clothes in my opinion. There really is something for everyone and the Clubcard deals make shopping there relatively cheap.
F&F can only be bought in stores, and has a smaller size range, starting at a size 6 and rising to a size 22, which again may vary from store to store.
Tu at Sainsbury's
According to Sainsbury's website Tu has been inspiring fashion confidence since its launch in 2004, offering design-led, excellent quality and great value fashion across womenswear, menswear and childrenswear. Tu, like George, houses other high street brands, such as Fat Face, Love Luna and Triumph, meaning its prices are slightly higher then its competitors.
Tu's size range starts at the smallest of any supermarket, ranging from a size 4 to a 22. It also has petite, plus size, maternity and breast feeding ranges, so really caters for everyone. For me, they have the best range of clothes, as they have cuts and styles of dresses, skirts, tops and trousers for any age or style.
Their colours are bright and their patterns, very summery. They have a good handle on the midi dress trend, with their dresses costing between £0 and £65, although the latter are Fat Face, not Tu. You can also shop for clothes on the Sainsbury's website.
Nutmeg by Morrisons
The last of the big four supermarket brands is Nutmeg by Morrisons. Nutmeg has often trailed behind its competitors with its clothing range, but this season, it has plenty to offer.
The range consists of a wide variety of seasonal colours and prints, including animal and floral. Amongst the items are floral tea dresses, linen trousers and midi skirts, all of which are on trend for this season. The supermarket also offers a range of shoes, including summer sandals. Unlike its competitors, Nutmeg does not offer a swimwear range.
All of the clothes run from size 8 to size 26 and it is one of the cheaper brands, with the highest priced item being £28. Whilst there is only one range, there are clothes for both tall and petite bodies. Nutmeg also sells men's and kids clothing. For me, whilst Nutmeg has upped its game recently, its range is still remarkably small compared to the other big four.
