MUMBAI: In a match in which both the teams dropped as many as 11 matches, India paid for their downright shoddy fielding, which saw them grass seven opportunities, slightly more than Australia's four as they lost the second women's ODI by three runs in thrilling fashion at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday night.
Post the defeat, which led to India losing yet another ODI series to Australia with a game left to play on January 2, the team's new head coach Amol Muzumdar confessed that his team was poor in the field, and called the side 'a work in progress.'
