Waymo, the autonomous driving technology company, has announced its plans to introduce free driverless robotaxi services in Los Angeles. This move marks a significant step forward in the development and deployment of autonomous vehicles in urban environments.

The service, known as WAYMO-LOS-ANGELES, will allow residents and visitors in Los Angeles to hail a driverless robotaxi using a smartphone app. The vehicles will operate without a safety driver behind the wheel, relying solely on Waymo's advanced self-driving technology.
