Emmerdale favourite Adam Thomas has delighted fans by confirming his return to BBC drama Waterloo Road.
As many of you will likely remember, Waterloo Road was a BBC school-based drama series, set in Manchester, which ran between 2006 and 2015.
Last September, Waterloo Road’s return was confirmed and Adam Thomas, alongside original co-stars Angela Griffin, from Leeds, and Katie Griffiths, have given fans a hint of what to expect from the revival.

Adam, 33, who played a pupil in the original series is revising his role as Donte Charles while Angela is back as Kim Campbell with Katie set to return as Chlo Charles.
They took to Twitter to announce the news.

Adam said: "I’m so excited to go back to where it all started. Waterloo Road was a huge part of my life and career so to go back 15 years later is a dream come true.
“I feel so blessed to have been given this opportunity to get back to acting and doing what I love.

After leaving Waterloo Road, Adam played Adam Barton in Emmerdale. In more recent years, the acting star has been known for his work off screen as an entrepreneur.
Last year, Adam opened eatery Oh My Glaze in Manchester’s Trafford Centre with his business partner Scott Graham.
Many Emmerdale fans have been hoping he’d return to the ITV soap in recent years but instead he’s heading back to school with Waterloo Road.
