Waterford are on their way to Dubai for a pre-season training camp.
The Blues will fly out on Sunday January 22 and spend six days in the UAE, where they will play two games, including one against local side Fleetwood United.
The games will take place at the Jebel Ali Resort and Sports Complex, Waterford’s base for their trip and a popular destination for English Premier League sides.
Waterford chairman Andy Pilley, who also owns League One outfit Fleetwood Town, confirmed the tour.
He said: “I am thrilled to confirm that Waterford Football Club will be making the trip over to Dubai this January.
“We’ve invested heavily in the squad and facilities at the club ahead of the upcoming season as we want to give everyone the best chance of getting that promotion to the top division in Ireland, we are all aspiring for.”
