Authorities in Pasco County, Florida, just north of Tampa, are actively engaged in water rescues following the aftermath of Hurricane Milton. As of now, 22 individuals have been rescued from the flooding caused by the Anclote River in the area of Mitchell Blvd and Little Rd.
The Pasco Sheriff’s Office, led by Sheriff Chris Nocco, along with Pasco County Fire Rescue and the National Guard, are working tirelessly to ensure the safety of residents affected by the rising waters. The efforts to rescue individuals from the floodwaters are ongoing and continuous.
In addition to the local authorities, crews from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission have also been involved in both land and water rescues in Pasco County. Governor Ron DeSantis acknowledged the swift response and efforts of these teams during a briefing on Thursday morning.
