A mystery dog illness is still continuing to make pets sick, with reports of animals becoming ill across Yorkshire and the northeast.
Water pollution is one of the theories put forward by some people as a possible cause.
However, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has been running tests and has so far found no evidence of polluted water being the illness.
Despite this, some people strongly believe the water is polluted and has caused animals to die and become poorly en masse.
One person tweeted Yorkshire Water to ask if they were dumping sewage into the sea.
Yorkshire Water tweeted a response: "We have permitted storm overflows to act as a relief valve in periods of heavy rainfall, by allowing heavily diluted wastewater to be discharged into watercourses.
"This is permitted by the Environment Agency and closely monitored by them and us."
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Water added: "The RSPCA said dog illness is common in winter, and the bug is spreading inland across the country.
"Everything of ours is operating as normal."
