Watched the Fallout season 2 finale? Here are 3 more dystopian Prime Video shows to stream next

Fallout season 2 has come to an end after a gripping finale. If you need a refresher on that, check out our Fallout season 2 ending explained guide for a full rundown.

Although we do have word that Fallout season 3 is happening, not much is known about it yet, so we'll have to wait patiently to return to the Wasteland.

But, fear not. Prime Video is home to plenty of great shows with similar vibes to Fallout that I think you'll really enjoy, which are full of dystopian elements and shocking moments. In fact, I'd consider all of these to be among the best Prime Video shows available right now. Enjoy!

Tales from the Loop

Creator: Nathaniel Halpern
Cast: Rebecca Hall, Paul Schneider, Duncan Joiner, Daniel Zolghadri, Jonathan Pryce
Seasons: 1
Age Rating: TV-14

Tales from the Loop has a much slower pace than Fallout, but its gorgeous visuals and compelling characters are enough to suck you in.

The series follows residents who live above "The Loop", a machine built to unlock and explore the mysteries of the universe, so if you're a fan of mysterious towns and bizarre sci-fi, I think you'll really enjoy this one. If you're a fan of podcasts like Welcome to Night Vale, this is right up your alley.

This short eight-episode series is an ideal binge watch; the only downside is that it might leave you feeling hungry for more. My advice is to savor it, because it doesn't look like new episodes are coming any time soon.

The Man in the High Castle

Creator: Frank Spotnitz
Cast: Alexa Davalos, Rupert Evans, Luke Kleintank, DJ Qualls, Joel de la Fuente, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa
Seasons: 4
Age Rating: TV-MA

If you want something longer, The Man in the High Castle stretches over four seasons. This is plenty of time to explore its fascinating dystopian universe and the characters at the forefront of it.

The series depicts a cruel parallel universe where the Axis powers of Nazi Germany and the Empire of Japan rule the world together after their victory in World War II.

But when mysterious films, created by a figure known as "The Man in the High Castle", show an alternative reality where the Allies won the war instead, it provides hope and sparks a resistance against this oppressive world.

The Fortress

Creators: Cecilie A Mosli and Mikkel Brænne Sandemose
Cast: Selome Emnetu, Russell Tovey, Peiman Azizpour, Dominic Allburn, Samuel Eide, Tobias Santelmann
Seasons: 1
Age Rating: TV-14

The Fortress is set in 2037, where Norway decides to seal itself off inside a wall creating a self-sufficient paradise for citizens. But it all goes horribly wrong when a contagious disease spreads across the country, and the fortress ends up becoming a terrifying prison instead.

It's horrifying watching this once idyllic scenario turn into a living nightmare, and it especially resonates given the recent COVID-19 pandemic, so this one is a very intense watch.

It shares similarities with Fallout, especially if you take a look at the Vaults there and how they end up being much darker than residents' thought.
