Ukraine’s president has warned that Russia’s “sham referendums” and attempts to annex Ukrainian territory rule out any talks with Moscow as long as Vladimir Putin remains president.
Speaking at a meeting of the UN Security Council, Mr Zelensky urged the countries present to suspend Russia’s membership of the organisation.
The President of Ukraine said: “there is only one way to stop this all, first - it’s a complete isolation of Russia in response to everything it does. The state cannot remain a permanent member of the Security Council with the righ to veto.”
