The toughness of Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Will Levis was on full display during the second quarter of the Week 14 game against the Miami Dolphins.
After impressively escaping a potential sack on third down, Levis took off running to try and pick up the first down but was met by Dolphins cornerback and old Titans friend, Jalen Ramsey.
But Levis didn’t go quietly.
The Titans signal-caller lowered his shoulder and gave Ramsey the business, which enabled him to pick up an extra yard or two on the run. He was short of the sticks, but a penalty gifted the Titans a first down.

Later in the drive, Levis took off running once again and nearly scored a touchdown before being stopped at the one-yard line. However, Levis showed his gritty nature once again, exposing himself to a big hit in order to try and pick up the extra yard.
Tennessee would go on to score a few plays later on a Derrick Henry touchdown run.
After the series, you could see head coach Mike Vrabel telling Levis to be careful out there. The Kentucky product also took a big hit after his interception while trying to stop the touchdown.
Levis’ willingness to take a big hit in order to make a play is certainly admirable, but he’s also got to make sure he doesn’t injure himself out there.
He’s fortunate that didn’t happen on any of the three aforementioned plays.
