WHO you gonna call? Ghostbusters! Though you will also need to phone the travel agent as this display of movie car greats is being held at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles in the US.
Alongside the 1959 Cadillac known as Ecto-1 from the original Ghostbusters, there’s a whole red carpet’s worth of movie motor stars.
They include the 1976 Ford Gran Torino from the Starsky and Hutch television series in its distinctive red with white flash. There’s also the Moto-Terminator motorcycle from Terminator Salvation and Herbie, the Volkswagen Beetle from 2005’s Herbie Fully Loaded.
Another big attraction will be the Batmobile that was used in Batman and Batman Returns.
One of the most famous cars to be included in the museum’s exhibition is the 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 used in the Back to the Future trilogy. The car being displayed is the only one that has appeared in all three films.
Museum director Terry Karges said: “Some vehicles used in television and movies have become just as popular as the stars themselves.
“We are excited to display some of the most iconic vehicles from Hollywood’s long history. The unique collection is sure to appeal to car and movie fans from around the world.”
